bébé Vie Scope
Adroit Surgical’s patented one‑size pediatric bébé Vie Scope is a compact, battery‑powered, single‑use laryngoscope designed for rapid and reliable airway access in children from toddler age through 10 years.
Its integrated illumination system projects light through the tube’s sidewalls and lumen, providing clear visualization of the vocal cords with minimal risk of obstruction from blood or secretions.
The bébé Vie technique mirrors the standard Vie Scope in its gentle rotational approach using a full‑length rubber tooth guard for upper gum and dental protection. However, unlike the fully enclosed adult model, the bébé Vie Scope allows the user to intubate children with an age appropriate endotracheal tube (ETT) directly using a ‘sideways’ insertion technique.
Clinicians can position the bébé Vie Scope in the vallecula like a Macintosh blade or lift the epiglottis directly like a Miller, depending on preference and patient anatomy. It can also serve effectively as a bougie introducer when needed.
