    Mini shears

Superior to the “sewing scissors” found in most personal size kits. A real enhancement to building a compact kit with the widest capabilities with the “real estate” available.

    Perfect for travel

I purchased these to carry with on a commercial flight with a mini IFAK and have no trouble with security checks. Nice to know that I have a pair of shears if the worst should happen and I need to use my medical kit.

    Great

This shears fits perfectly on my badge reel. Very convenient for me. Small but cuts sharply and very well. Very satisfied with my purchase.

    Mini shears

I bought several pair intending to put them in light weight ifak kits. Within three minutes I broke the first pair. The cut paper, fabric with little effort. I tied paracord and they cut about half the time. I tried to cut a thin pieces of rope and the handle broke. I know that is not what they are designed for, but I wanted to test their capabilities before relying on them. So while they may be good as bandage scissors I would not recommend them as EMT shears. I don't believe they would be up to the tasks of cutting motorcycle leathers, seatbelts, belts, shoes, boots or laces.

These are tiny. If size and weight are a concern then these may be right for you.. May be too small for some to use comfortably or often

    Scissors

    Posted by David on 09 05 2018

I’m an ER doctor. I used to carry big scissors. They always cut up my cargo pant pockets. I’m always looking for lighter and better gear. I found these and I’ll never go back. I carry them in my front chest pocket they are so small. At first staff laughed. “Hahaha look at those small scissors”. Now they are like “get doc he’s always got those scissors in his front pocket and they cut better than ours.” I don’t even know they are there half the time unlike other bulky alternatives. There has not been a situation thus far where I have not been able to cut through what I needed to. Now I have a pair on my EDC gear while not at work. Highly recommended.

    Buy more than one pair

For little shears these are great. Made in Pakistan they are better than Chinese made. Fits great in my RE Personal Plus First Aid Kit. Great price, don't make the mistake I did and order more than one pair!!

When you might not otherwise have what you need

Not really a replacement for full size, but good as spare or when you would otherwise have none. Works in very small kits and is airport compatible.
