NAR Compressed Gauze

North American Rescue’s Compressed Gauze is a compact roll of sterile, high quality 100% cotton gauze that utilizes a one-of-a-kind crinkle weave that has effective fluid absorption. It is a 6-ply, 4.5” x 4.1 yd. gauze with finished edges that prevent loose ends and lint. The gauze is recommended for the treatment of bleeding as well as the dressing and bandaging of wounds. Packaging is rugged, durable, and vacuum sealed with easy-to-open tear notches. The ultra-compact storage size expands once opened to cover larger wound areas. Compressed Gauze is an essential item for any IFAK and can be used to control hemorrhaging in conjunction with a compression bandage, used as backing gauze for hemostatic dressings or for wound bandaging.

    Seems like your standard compressed gauze, doesn't appear any different than other brands but I have not had the opportunity to use it. I think where NAR stands out from some other brands is their distinct red marks to indicate where to tear which could be useful in a stressful situation.

    Perfect Compact Size for a small blow-out kit

    I found this product to be excellent for a small trauma kit. Same size as other gauze unfolded and less than half the size when packaged.

    Extremely flat and compact. But as an alternative to an out-of-stock product and was happy with choice. Enjoy doing business with rescue Essentials

    used the other day at a rollover wreck on the hwy to control some major bleeding on a persons arm worked really well and i love the easy tear packaging!!
