The RTF RAPID Upgrade Module allows you to add a cummerbund with side plate pockets to the new RTF RAPID Vest. This provides the capability of adding side protection ballistic plates to the RAPID vest along with additional side PALS for attaching gear.

    I liked the other RTF vest (Responder) better, but it was too small. Not sure how functional this will be. Neither plate carrier nor soft armor vest, but sort of a combination of both. Doesn't cover much of the chest, but the cummerbund does a pretty good job of the sides and abdomen. This is the "bigger" alternative. Putting the pieces together is not intuitive, and instructions are not included. On-line videos are OK but it still required several tries. First impressions are "kludgy."
