The RE SIM Wound Packing Task Trainers are designed to support high-frequency training in wound packing and the application of hemostatic gauze without driving up costs. Each model replicates realistic external anatomy and includes wound cavities with hidden bleed sources to simulate active hemorrhage. Trainers are available in two configurations: a laceration or puncture-style wound, and a large-caliber gunshot wound (GSW). The GSW model incorporates a simulated bone structure to reinforce proper technique when training for full-depth packing to the bone.

Built from rugged silicone, these trainers are made for repeated use and do not require batteries, external power, or mechanical components. A reinforced connection point helps keep tubing secure during training, while an integrated one-way valve prevents backflow of simulated blood into the squeeze bottle. After use, the trainer can be rinsed clean with water, even if the simulant has dried.
