Bleeding Control Station - Recessed Cabinet

The Department of Homeland Security's Stop the Bleed initiative is focused on empowering civilian responders to react to life-threatening bleeding. On average, it takes EMS personnel seven minutes to arrive on scene. A human can bleed to death in less than 7 minutes, making fast response critical. Proven bleeding control techniques can be administered by laypersons immediately, made more effective with access to Stop the Bleed tools and training.

This Bleeding Control Station aims to provide accessible components in any public space such as schools, churches, arenas, airports, or restaurants. It contains 8 individual first aid kits (IFAKs), each stocked identically with tools to respond to severe bleeding, and an instruction card for reference and guidance for civilians with little or no training. The entire sleeve can be removed from the cabinet and individual kits can be quickly distributed in the event of multiple casualties. The cabinet also contains a QuikLitter which is useful for evacuation if the patient must be moved.

The contents in this cabinet are identical to our original Bleeding Control Station, except this cabinet is semi-recessed for a low-profile mounting option. Since the recessed cabinet is more compact, this station contains one QuikLitter (the original station comes with two litters). The recessed cabinet can be purchased empty here. This semi-recessed cabinet is ADA compliant.

In order to mount this semi-recessed cabinet, a 15" H x 15" W x 4" D area will need to be cut in a wall for proper installation. The cabinet will stick out approximately 3" from the wall with semi-recessed mount.
