FAQs

What belongs in a bleeding control and wound care kit?
At minimum, a tourniquet, a hemostatic dressing, a pressure bandage, wound packing gauze, gloves, and tape. Together these supplies let you stop the bleed, pack the wound, and dress it for transport. Many responders build around an IFAK and add components as protocols require.
What is the difference between a hemostatic dressing and a regular wound dressing?
A hemostatic dressing is treated to speed clotting and packs into deep or junctional wounds that direct pressure cannot control. A standard wound dressing maintains compression and covers the wound bed. The wound type determines the dressing you reach for, so most complete kits carry both.
Can agencies and departments order wound care supplies in bulk?
Yes. We support orders for agencies, departments, and organizations stocking medical equipment in volume. Request a quote and our team will help match supplies to your protocols, budget, and kit configurations, and can offer net payment terms if necessary.
Are these supplies appropriate for trained individuals, not just professionals?
They are. Much of this collection is used by trained civilians who keep wound care products in a vehicle, range bag, or home kit. We recommend pairing any gear with training so you are ready to deliver medical treatment under pressure.
How should I store these supplies?
Keep dressings and hemostatics sealed, out of direct heat, and within reach of the kit they support. Check expiration dates periodically and rotate stock so your supplies stay reliable when a medical emergency happens.
