Simple and effective gauze

I have purchased many different packages of non-hemostatic gauze over the past 5 years and this is by far my favorite since it is z folded and it has an x-ray. And did I mention how affordable it is? Some brands are more expensive and are just compressed rolled gauze without any kind of x-ray band. I highly recommend this product especially if you want something that you can slip in a pocket and forget about it until the need arises.

NAR packing gauze

Small form factor, X-ray thread, durable packaging. These fit great in a compact IFAK.

NAR Wound Packing Gauze

Slightly more expensive then some other types of gauze but I purchased because it has the x-ray strip in it. Typical NAR packaging that's great.

Unfortunately, no longer made in Singapore (not TAA)

Have a couple of these NAR wound packing gauze pouches - they are good gauze with an imaging band. Unfortunately, the newest batch seems to have moved locations from Singapore to China. Gauze is gauze - doesn't matter too much - but if you're looking for TAA compliance, the new batches are now lacking that.
In direct comparison to a Singaporean pack, the Chinese gauze itself is very similar - a bit more of a 'smooth' texture, and a thinner imaging band.
More interestingly though, one of the packs I received had a bit of mysterious non-white fabric which left a bit of dirty-looking residue on the gauze itself. The moving to China isn't that big of a deal as much as it's note of potential dip in quality control.

Affordable z-fold packing gauze

A must for your IFAK. nice heavy plastic packaging with tear notches. Z-fold makes it easy to use (better than rolled), and even includes the imaging line. Packs down well for compact belt kits.
