IR Non-Contact Thermometer
This Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer was designed by Prestige Medical using the latest infrared technology to quickly and efficiently measure body, surface and ambient temperatures. The technology allows body temperatures to be taken about 1-2 inches from the forehead. It has been demonstrated that this method of temperature measurement is more precise than tympanic thermometry and better tolerated than rectal thermometry. This thermometer also features a backlit digital LCD screen so results are easily read in any environment and a high temperature alarm for temperatures over 100.4 Fahrenheit. Results can be displayed as both Fahrenheit and Celsius.
