A hemostatic dressing can be a useful addition to a trauma kit, range bag, vehicle kit or wilderness first aid kit. However, the product name alone does not tell you what the dressing is designed to do.

Ribbons, granules and applicators are more specialized. Carry them when they match your training and anticipated use.
