Why it matters

Emphasis on hemorrhage control (tourniquets, hemostatic gauze) for penetrating trauma (GSWs, stabbings).

Kits must be deployable one-handed and mounted on body armor or duty belts (IFAK-style).

Limited space; gear must withstand daily wear, weather, and physical altercations.

Clear labeling, optimized organization, and compatibility with gloves and night operations.

Designed to not interfere with weapons access or movement.

Aligned with department SOPs and programs like Stop the Bleed and TCCC protocols

FAQs
Please read our FAQ page to find out more.
What is an IFAK?
An IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) is a compact trauma kit designed to treat life-threatening injuries, especially severe bleeding, in emergency situations before professional medical help arrives.
What items are typically included in a tactical IFAK?
A tactical IFAK typically includes a tourniquet, hemostatic gauze, compressed wound-packing gauze and a pressure dressing for severe bleeding. Many kits also contain chest seals, medical gloves, trauma shears, tape and a permanent marker. Contents may vary by mission, environment and the carrier’s level of medical training.
Who should carry an IFAK?
All sworn law enforcement officers who may respond to violent incidents, crashes or other emergencies should carry an IFAK. Patrol officers, tactical teams and personnel working in remote or high-risk assignments have an especially strong need for immediate trauma supplies. Each officer should be trained to use the kit and carry it in a consistent, easily accessible location.
Can I customize an IFAK?
Yes. Many of our kits are modular or can be custom configured. Contact our team for help selecting components that match your agency protocols, vehicle setup or response needs.
Do I need training to use an IFAK?
You do not need to be a medical professional to learn how to use an IFAK, but hands-on training is strongly recommended. A first aid or Stop the Bleed course teaches you to recognize life-threatening bleeding, pack a wound and correctly apply a tourniquet. Proper training helps you use the kit safely and confidently until emergency medical services arrive. Always familiarize yourself with the components of your IFAK so you can respond quickly when seconds count.
